From Lahore to Luton, The Story Behind KQ Solicitors
Khurram Amir Qureshi arrived in the United Kingdom from Lahore, Pakistan, in 2004. Like many of the clients who later came to him for help, he navigated an unfamiliar legal system in a new country, and he understood firsthand how overwhelming that experience can be.
After qualifying as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2009, Khurram gained experience working with established law firms across the UK before founding KQ Solicitors. He built the firm with a clear purpose: to provide honest, expert legal advice to people who needed it most, in a language they understood, at a price that was transparent from the start.
Today KQ Solicitors is one of the most trusted immigration and family law firms in Luton. Khurram has personally advised thousands of clients, from straightforward visa applications to complex challenges against Home Office decisions.
He founded the firm because he believed the Luton community deserved access to properly qualified, SRA regulated legal advice, not unregulated advisers, not call centres, not firms where clients are passed from person to person without ever speaking to a solicitor.
Why This Background Matters for Clients
Immigration and family law are deeply personal areas of law. Clients are often dealing with family separation, visa deadlines, refusal letters, financial pressure or uncertainty about their future in the UK.
Khurram’s background as someone who came to this country, navigated the system, qualified as a solicitor, taught law, and built a firm from the ground up gives him a practical understanding of both the legal rules and the human pressure behind each case. His approach is to explain the law clearly, identify the real risk, and help clients make informed decisions before taking action.
