Total Cost Breakdown, What You May Actually Pay
One of the most common questions is: what does a UK visa actually cost in total? The answer has two parts: our legal fee and the separate fees paid directly to the Home Office.
Here is a realistic starting cost guide for common applications. Home Office fees are based on the 8 April 2026 published fee table. Always check the current GOV.UK fee table before applying.
| Application | Home Office Fee | KQ Legal Fee | Realistic Starting Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spouse Visa Entry Clearance | £1,846 | from £1,200 | from £3,046 + IHS |
| Spouse Visa Extension | £1,258 | from £950 | from £2,208 + IHS |
| ILR Partner Route | £3,226 | from £1,200 | from £4,426 |
| British Citizenship Naturalisation | £1,709 | from £1,250 | from £2,959 |
| Child Registration | £1,000 | from £950 | from £1,950 |
| Standard Visitor Visa | £135 | from £950 | from £1,085 |
| Administrative Review | £80 | from £1,500 | from £1,580 |
Immigration Health Surcharge: The IHS is payable separately for most temporary visa applications. The current rate is £1,035 per adult per year and £776 per year for students, their dependants, Youth Mobility applicants and applicants under 18. For a 30-month spouse visa extension, the IHS is usually calculated at around £2,587.50 per adult, subject to the Home Office calculator.
Priority and super priority services: Where available, priority decisions cost £500 and super priority decisions cost £1,000. These are paid directly to UKVI and are not included in our legal fee.
